Commentary: The Clean Clothes Campaign (CCC, www.cleanclothes.org) is a
global network of more than 200 NGOs, trade unions and individuals with an interna-
tional secretariat located in Amsterdam. The Code of Labour Practices seeks to
improve working conditions in the global garment and sportswear industries. On the
