Nikitas Aliprantis is Professor of Law at the Democritus University of
Thrace. He is also a member of the European Committee of Social Rights.
He is the author of numerous publications, including Les droits sociaux
dans les instruments européens et internationaux: Défis à l'échelle mondiale
(2009).
Catherine Barnard is Professor of European Union Law and Employment
Law and Co-Director of the Centre for European Legal Studies at the
University of Cambridge, and Fellow of Trinity College Cambridge. She
is the author of EC Employment Law (2006) and The Substantive Law of
the EU. The Four Freedoms (2010).
Mark Bell is Professor of Law at the University of Leicester. He conducts
research in the areas of national and European anti-discrimination law
and labour law. He is the author of Racism and Equality in the European
Union (2008) and Anti-discrimination Law and the European Union (2002).
From 2004 to 2010, he was a member of the European Commission's
Network of Legal Experts in the Non-Discrimination Field. He is also a
member of the Executive Committee of the Society of Legal Scholars. His
current research focuses on EU law and precarious work, such as part-
time, fixed-term and agency work.
Simon Deakin is Professor of Law at the University of Cambridge,
specialising in labour law, private law, company law, law and econom-
ics and EU law. He is a programme director in the Cambridge Centre
