Afshin Akhtar-Khavari is an Associate Professor in the Griffith Law
School, Griffith University, Australia. He is a former Deputy Head and
(acting) Head of the Griffith Law School. He is currently a member of
the World Commission on Environmental Law for the International
Union for the Conservation of Nature and a lead author for the
Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services on a
report dealing with land degradation and restoration. He is on the
editorial board of the Griffith Law Review. He publishes in the general
area of international law and environmental humanities. He recently
completed a co-authored monograph with Routledge on Ecological
Restoration in International Environmental Law and is currently working
on a co-edited collection in the Griffith Law Review dealing with law
and ecological recovery. He is also writing his next book dealing with
fear in the law and ecological recovery discourse.
Klaus Bosselmann is a Professor of Law and Founding Director of the
New Zealand Centre for Environmental Law at the University of Auck-
land. He has provided consultancy for the OECD, UN, EU, and the
governments of Germany and New Zealand. He was a delegate at the
Earth Summits in Rio de Janeiro (1992 and 2012), is an executive
member of several global sustainability organisations and is Chair of the
IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law Ethics Specialist
Group.
