Frederick M. Abbott is Edward Ball Eminent Scholar Professor of International Law
at Florida State University College of Law, U.S. He has served as expert consultant for
numerous international and regional organizations, governments and nongovernmen-
tal organizations, mainly in the fields of intellectual property, public health, trade and
sustainable development. Recent books include International Intellectual Property in an
Integrated World Economy (3d ed. 2015, with T. Cottier and F. Gurry), Emerging Markets
and the World Patent Order (2013, edited with C. Correa and P. Drahos), and Global
Pharmaceutical Policy (2009, with G. Dukes).
Irene Calboli is Deputy Director of the Applied Research Centre for Intellectual Assets
and the Law in Asia, School of Law, Singapore Management University, where she is
Visiting Professor and Lee Kong Chian Fellow. She is also Professor of Law at Texas
A&M University School of Law, and Transatlantic Technology Law Forum Fellow
at Stanford Law School. She teaches and writes in the areas of intellectual property
and international trade law. Her recent publications include Diversity in Intellectual
Property (2015, edited with S. Ragavan), and The Law and Practice of Trademark
Transactions (2016, edited with J. de Werra). She is an elected member of the American
Law Institute.
Vincent Chiappetta is Professor of Law at Willamette University College of Law in
Oregon, U.S. He teaches and writes in the areas of U.S. and international intellectual
