Acknowledgements
The present publication covers various aspects of water management, a
topic of increasing importance worldwide. The chapters deal with legal
aspects at the international as well as, randomly, at the national level. The
first part of the book presents selected water right systems, and the
following chapters introduce the main principles that are applied in water
management strategies and projects. Such an approach should facilitate
the comparison of models for solving conflict situations and for adopting
sustainable and democratic strategies. The authors are renowned experts
in their field of water and environmental law.
My thanks go to the Publisher and its editorial staff for the valuable
