Abstract/Description:

The current crisis of European integration is far more intensive than former difficult situations. Overcoming it is by no means easy, as it is largely perceived as an underperformance in policy output. Some relatively easy steps could, however, be taken at the institutional level (legislative and executive): Modification of the electoral law of the European Parliament, overcoming the ‘Union method’ and streamlining the administrative organisation of Commission and agencies.
