Abstract/Description:
This chapter offers analysis of the investment arbitration experience in the Republic of Macedonia. Focusing on in-depth analysis of the investment arbitration cases launched against the Republic of Macedonia, the chapter also draws attention to the crucial national regulatory aspects and national strategy about the investor-state disputes and investment arbitration. To facilitate a better understanding of the issue, political and economic broad perspective is also analyzed. Case-law explanations are accompanied by national factual background and local materials. The chapter should enable the reader to identify and relate evolving factors as the reason for the current state and results of the investor-state disputes and their settlement in the Republic of Macedonia.
