In addition to the amendments and modifications described in the contribution to the first edition of this book, during the period from June 2011 to the end of March 2018, the Law No. 8/1996 on copyright and related rights was amended several times. The national courts have also played an important role in the development of copyright in Romania. This chapter focuses on those legislative modifications to and judicial interpretations of Romanian copyright law.
