Call for Submissions

The Human Rights Defender is published by the Australian Human Rights Centre. One of the aims of the Centre is to facilitate the transmission of information about human rights, and to encourage actors in the human rights community to share their expertise.

The Human Rights Defender is a vital means of fulfilling this aim by extending human rights education to a broad audience. Contributions to the Human Rights Defender can help dispel myths and can provide our readers with accurate information about many aspects of human rights.

Since The Human Rights Defender is directed at a general audience articles should be written in an accessible rather than an overly technical or academic manner. The articles should be about 1000 words in length and should not have footnotes. The Human Rights Defender welcomes contributions in this style.
