Appropriation Bill 2011-2012 (No 2)
A Bill for
An Act to appropriate additional money for the purposes of the Territory for
the financial year that began on 1 July 2011
The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as
follows:
This Act is the Appropriation Act 2011-2012 (No 2).
This Act commences on the day after its notification day.
Note The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).
A note included in this Act is explanatory and is not part of this Act.

This Act is made for the purposes of––
(a) the Self-Government Act, section 57 and section 58; and
(b) the Financial Management Act, section 6 and section 8.
In this Act:
agency means a directorate, territory authority or territory-owned corporation.
Financial Management Act means the Financial Management Act 1996.
financial year means the year that began on 1 July 2011.
6 Terms used in Financial Management Act
A term used in the Financial Management Act has the same meaning in this Act.
7 Additional appropriations of $18 081 000
(1) The amount of $24 000 is appropriated to the Legislative Assembly Secretariat for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(2) The amount of $16 000 is appropriated to the Legislative Assembly Secretariat for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(3) The amount of $29 000 is appropriated to the ACT Executive for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(4) The amount of $8 000 is appropriated to the Auditor-General for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(5) The amount of $74 000 is appropriated to the Chief Minister and Cabinet Directorate for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(6) The amount of $1 555 000 is appropriated to the Territory and Municipal Services Directorate for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(7) The amount of $111 000 is appropriated to the Economic Development Directorate for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(8) The amount of $94 000 is appropriated to the Treasury Directorate for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(9) The amount of $4 743 000 is appropriated to the Health Directorate for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(10) The amount of $1 449 000 is appropriated to the Justice and Community Safety Directorate for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(11) The amount of $208 000 is appropriated to the Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(12) The amount of $4 000 is appropriated to the Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(13) The amount of $8 515 000 is appropriated to the Education and Training Directorate for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(14) The amount of $446 000 is appropriated to the Community Services Directorate for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(15) The amount of $16 000 is appropriated to the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(16) The amount of $735 000 is appropriated to the Canberra Institute of Technology for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(17) The amount of $21 000 is appropriated to the Cultural Facilities Corporation for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(18) The amount of $1 000 is appropriated to the Exhibition Park Corporation for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(19) The amount of $2 000 is appropriated to the Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
(20) The amount of $30 000 is appropriated to the Legal Aid Commission (ACT) for the additional net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 for that agency.
8 Appropriation units and output classes
(1) A group of outputs mentioned in schedule 1, column 3 is identified as a class of outputs for the Financial Management Act.
(2) An appropriation unit mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 consists of the classes of outputs, or the group of output classes, mentioned in column 3 for the appropriation unit.
