An Act to amend the Canberra Tourism and Events Corporation Act 1997











The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:



1 Name of Act

This Act is the Canberra Tourism and Events Corporation Amendment Act 2003.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on 1 July 2003.

Note The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3 Act amended

This Act amends the Canberra Tourism and Events Corporation Act 1997.

4 Title

5 Section 1

1 Name of Act

This Act is the Australian Capital Tourism Corporation Act 1997.

6 Definitions for Act

Section 3, definition of corporation

substitute

corporation means the Australian Capital Tourism Corporation.

7 Establishment

Section 4 (1)

(1) The Australian Capital Tourism Corporation is established.

8 Constitution

Section 8 (1)

substitute

(1) The corporation consists of 9 members, as follows:

(a) a chairperson and 6 other people appointed by the Minister under schedule 1, clause 2;

(b) the chief executive officer;

(c) a public servant appointed under section 11.
