Planning and Development (Territory Plan Variations) Amendment Bill 2017

A Bill for

An Act to amend the requirements for making technical amendments under the Planning and Development Act 2007

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

1 Name of Act

This Act is the Planning and Development (Territory Plan Variations) Amendment Act 2017

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

Note The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act

, s 75 (1)).

3 Legislation amended

This Act amends the Planning and Development Act 2007

4 Making technical amendments

Section 89 (1) (a)

substitute

(a) the planning and land authority is satisfied that—

(i) a plan variation would, if made, be a technical amendment; and

(ii) the variation is unlikely to—

(A) be contentious; or

(B) otherwise cause adverse public comment; and
