CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ACT 2008 - SECT 740

A person commits an offence if the person—

        (a)     is a responsible person for a childcare service; and

        (b)     does not take reasonable steps to ensure that a child being cared for by the service is adequately supervised.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.
