CRIMINAL CODE 2002 - SECT 721

Failing to take oath

    (1)     A person commits an offence if—

        (a)     the person is required by law to take an oath to give evidence in a legal proceeding; and

        (b)     the person fails to take the oath when required.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.

    (2)     This section does not apply if the person has a reasonable excuse.
