Australian Capital Territory Current Acts Australian Capital Territory Current Acts(1) The relevant responsible person for an improvement notice commits an offence if the person fails to take all reasonable steps to comply with a requirement of the notice.
Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units.
Note If an improvement notice is given to 2 or more responsible people for a dangerous substance, each of them must comply with the notice (see s 21).
(2) An
offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
