ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ACT 1997 - SECT 14

Authorised officers

    (1)     The director-general may appoint a public servant as an authorised officer.

Note 1     For the making of appointments (including acting appointments), see the Legislation Act

, pt 19.3.

Note 2     In particular, an appointment may be made by naming a person or nominating the occupant of a position (see Legislation Act

, s 207).

    (2)     The authority is also an authorised officer.

    (3)     In addition to the powers given to an authorised officer under this Act, an authorised officer also has powers given to the officer under any other territory law.
