ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ACT 1997 - SECT 28

    (1)     An environment protection policy is a notifiable instrument.

Note     A notifiable instrument must be notified under the Legislation Act

.

    (2)     If an environment protection policy is made, public notice must be given of the following:

        (a)     a brief description of the policy;

        (b)     a statement of when the policy takes effect;

        (c)     a statement of where the policy is made available to the public under section 19.

Note     Public notice means notice on an ACT government website or in a daily newspaper circulating in the ACT (see Legislation Act

, dict, pt 1).
