JURIES ACT 1967 - SECT 34

Challenges at criminal trials

    (1)     At a criminal trial, the Crown is entitled—

        (a)     to 8 peremptory challenges; and

        (b)     to any number of challenges for cause.

    (2)     At a criminal trial, the accused or his or her legal practitioner is entitled—

        (a)     to 8 peremptory challenges; and

        (b)     to any number of challenges for cause.
