LEGISLATION ACT 2001 - SECT 114

Authorisation for parliamentary counsel

In preparing a law for republication, the parliamentary counsel is authorised—

        (a)     to make editorial amendments and other textual amendments of a formal nature that the parliamentary counsel considers desirable to bring the law into line, or more closely into line, with current legislative drafting practice; and

        (b)     to make other editorial changes by way of format, layout or printing style, or in any other presentational respect, that the parliamentary counsel considers desirable to bring the law into line, or more closely into line, with current legislative drafting practice.
