NATURE CONSERVATION ACT 2014 - SECT 243

What is damage to land?—pt 9.5

In this part:

"damage", to land, includes the destruction on the land, or removal from the land, of any of the following:

        (a)     clay;

        (b)     gravel;

        (c)     rock;

        (d)     sand;

        (e)     soil;

        (f)     stone.

Examples—damage to land

              •     crushing rocks

              •     contaminating soil

              •     heaping rocks, stones, gravel, sand, clay or soil

              •     altering the soil profile
