(1) This section applies if a relevant person—
(a) is preparing a document under this Act; and
(b) considers that the survival of a native species or ecological community may be threatened by the disclosure of the precise location of—
(i) the species, or community, in the wild; or
(ii) if the species or community has a known critical habitat—the critical habitat for the species or community.
(2) It is sufficient compliance with this Act if only a general description of the location of the species, community or habitat is included in the document.
(3) In this section:
"relevant person" means—
(a) the Minister; or
(b) the conservator; or
(c) the scientific committee.
