OMBUDSMAN ACT 1989 - SECT 17B

Police to give ombudsman reasonable assistance

    (1)     The chief police officer, and other officers and people assisting in exercising functions under the Crimes (Child Sex Offenders) Act 2005

, part 3.11 (Entry and search warrants) must give the ombudsman any assistance that the ombudsman reasonably requires to exercise the ombudsman's functions in relation to that part.

    (2)     The chief police officer must ensure that police officers and other people authorised by the chief police officer to have access to the child sex offenders register give the ombudsman any assistance that the ombudsman reasonably requires to exercise the ombudsman's functions in relation to the Crimes (Child Sex Offenders) Act 2005
