ROAD TRANSPORT (GENERAL) ACT 1999 - SECT 18

Delegation of chief police officer's functions

    (1)     The chief police officer may delegate the chief police officer's functions under the road transport legislation to—

        (a)     a police officer; or

        (b)     a public employee; or

        (c)     a person prescribed by regulation.

Note 2     For the chief police officer's power to delegate functions delegated by the road transport authority, see s 17 (2).

    (2)     A public employee may subdelegate to another public employee a function delegated under subsection (1).
