Australian Capital Territory Current Acts Australian Capital Territory Current Acts(1) A person is not excused from providing information or producing a document or thing when required to do so under section 22 (Technical regulator—obtaining information and documents) on the ground that the information or document might tend to incriminate the person.
(2) However, the information, document or thing obtained as a direct or indirect consequence of the requirement is not admissible in evidence against the person in criminal proceedings, other than proceedings for—
(a) an offence against this Act; or
(b) any other offence in relation to the falsity of the information or document.
