COURT PROCEDURES RULES 2006 - REG 6120

Filing documents—number of copies

    (1)     When filing a document in the court, a person must file—

        (a)     the original; and

        (b)     enough copies for service and proof of service, if service is required by a territory law or an order of the court.

Note 1     An applicant for a protection order under the href="http://www.legislation.act.gov.au/a/2016-42" title="A2016-42">Family Violence Act 2016

or Family title="A2016-43">Personal Violence Act 2016

need only file 1 copy of the application for the order (see r 3803 (b)).

Note 2     A territory law includes these rules (see href="http://www.legislation.act.gov.au/a/2001-14" title="A2001-14">Legislation Act

, s 98).

    (2)     Subrule (1) does not apply to a document filed electronically in the court.

    (3)     For these rules, "original" includes a document to which rule 6106 (4) applies.
