Australian Capital Territory Current Regulations Australian Capital Territory Current Regulations(1) If the result of a test performed on a specimen taken from a person ordinarily resident in the ACT at a laboratory indicates the presence of cancer, the person responsible for the day-to-day control of the laboratory must give the chief health officer written notice.

(2) However, notice need not be given of a natural progression of a cancer that has been notified within the previous year.
