Australian Capital Territory Current Regulations Australian Capital Territory Current Regulations(1) If a person who is the holder of a driver licence changes his or her name, the person must apply in accordance with section 89 (Procedure to replace driver licence or public vehicle driver authority card) for the issue of a replacement driver licence as soon as practicable (but within 14 days) after the change of name.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) If a person who is the holder of a driver licence changes his or her home address or address for service of notices, the person must tell the road transport authority about the change—
(a) orally not later than 14 days after the change; and
(b) if the authority asks the person to tell the authority about the change in writing—in writing within the period (not less than 14 days) required by the authority.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
