Australian Capital Territory Current Regulations Australian Capital Territory Current Regulations(1) A police officer or authorised person may require the driver, or person in charge, of a vehicle to which a trader's plate is attached, or a person to whom a trader's plate has been issued, to answer any questions about the purpose for which the plate is being, or has been, used.
(2) A person must not, without reasonable excuse, fail to answer a question when required to do so under subsection (1).
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
