CORONERS ACT 1997 (NO. 57 OF 1997) - SECT 39

Non-custodial deaths and fires—discretion to appoint legal practitioner

39. (1) A Coroner may appoint a legal practitioner to assist the Coroner for the purposes of an inquest in relation to a death (other than a death in custody) or in an inquiry.

(2) An appointment under subsection (1) may be made either generally or in relation to a particular matter.
