CRIMES LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 2024 (NO. 12 OF 2024) - SECT 2

    (1)     This Act (other than the provisions mentioned in subsections (2) and (3)) commences on the 7th day after its notification day.

Note     The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act

, s 75 (1)).

    (2)     Sections 14, 15 and 18 commence 6 months after this Act's notification day.

    (3)     Parts 9 and 10 commence on the later of—

        (a)     the commencement of the Magistrates Court (Infringement Notices) Amendment Act 2020

, section 16; and

        (b)     the day after this Act's notification day.
