Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts(1) The chief executive may direct a number of randomly selected detainees at a correctional centre to provide test samples for detecting alcohol or drug abuse.
(2) The chief executive must ensure that—
(a) no record is made that identifies the donor of a test sample; and
(b) the results of any tests conducted on the test samples are used only for statistical purposes.
(3) In this section:
"random selection "means selection by a computer programmed to select names randomly from the register of detainees.
