STOCK ACT 1991 (NO. 10 OF 1991) - SECT 34

34. A person shall not, without reasonable excuse, issue a permit to travel stock unless the person is—

        (a)     the owner of the stock; or

        (b)     a person authorised by the Controller for the purpose of issuing permits to travel stock.

Penalty:

        (a)     if the offender is a natural person—$1,000;

        (b)     if the offender is a body corporate—$5,000.
