Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts17. (1) A person shall not manufacture, have in his or her possession, use, cause or permit to be used, acquire, sell or otherwise dispose of, a restricted weapon, except in accordance with a restricted weapons licence granted to the person in relation to that weapon.
(2) A person shall not knowingly import into, or export from, the Territory a restricted weapon unless the person is the holder of a restricted weapons licence authorising the person to import the weapon into, or export the weapon from, the Territory.
Penalty: $2,000 or imprisonment for 12 months, or both.
