Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts Australian Capital Territory Numbered ActsIf a person has paid, or been ordered to pay, a pecuniary penalty under the Commonwealth Act, the person is not liable to a pecuniary penalty under this Act in relation to the same conduct.
Note The Commonwealth Act, s 16 also includes a provision preventing a person being punished for an offence against this Act and the Commonwealth Act. The provision is unnecessary in the ACT (see Legislation Act, s 191).
