WATER RESOURCES ACT 2007 (NO. 19 OF 2007) - SECT 47

A person commits an offence if the person—

        (a)     does any of the following work for the purpose of increasing the quantity of groundwater:

              (i)     constructs works;

              (ii)     operates works;

              (iii)     alters works; and

        (b)     does not have a recharge licence for the work.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.
