ROAD TRANSPORT (TAXI SERVICES) REGULATIONS 2000 (2000 NO 5) - REG 46

Offensive behaviour or language (NSW Reg cl 41)

    A person must not, in a taxi—

        (a)     behave in an offensive way; or

        (b)     use offensive language; or

        (c)     eat or drink except with the agreement of the taxi driver.

Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.

Note A person is not allowed to smoke in a taxi (see the Smoke free Areas (Enclosed Public Places) 1994 ).
