SMOKE-FREE AREAS (ENCLOSED PUBLIC PLACES) REGULATIONS (NO. 37 OF 1994)


TABLE OF PROVISIONS

   1.      These Regulations may be cited as the Smoke-free Areas (Enclosed Public Places) Regulations.  
   2.      These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette.  
   3.      In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—“Act” means the Smoke-free Areas (Enclosed Public Places) Act 1994; “smoking prohibited symbol” means the symbol designated in Australian Standard 2899.1—1986 to indicate where smoking is prohibited.  
   4.      (1) For the purposes of subsection 14 (3) of the Act a prescribed sign is a sign that—  
   5.      An occupier of an enclosed public place shall not, without reasonable excuse, display within that place a sign—
