EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

OVERVIEW

The purpose of the Regulation is to amend Schedule 2, Table 2.1 of the Environment Protection Regulation 2005, to correct an oversight of the consequential amendments of the Planning and Development Act 2007. The changes are in relation to noise zones.


The Regulation is made under section 166 of the Environment Protection Act 1997.

CLAUSE NOTES


Clause 1 Name of Regulation
This clause provides that the name of the regulation is the Environment Protection Amendment Regulation 2008 (No 2).

Clause 2 Commencement
The regulation commences on the day after its notification day.

Clause 3 Legislation amended
This clause provides that this regulation amends the Environment Protection Regulation 2005.

Clause 4 Schedule 2, section 2.1, new definition of leisure and
accommodation zone
This clause provides for the definition of leisure and accommodation zone.

Clause 5 Schedule 2, table 2.1, item 6
This clause provides for the addition of leisure and accommodation zone in Zone F of Table 2.1.

Clause 6 Dictionary, new definition of leisure and accommodation
zone
This clause provides for the definition of leisure and accommodation zone.
