This legislation has been repealed.
(1) This section applies to a document that is authorised or required under this Act to be served on a member of a cooperative (whether the word ‘serve', ‘give', ‘notify', ‘send', ‘tell' or any other word is used).
(2) The document may be served by giving public notice of the document, if—
(a) the cooperative is a non-trading cooperative; or
(b) the member's address for service is unknown to the cooperative; or
(c) the registrar permits service to members by public notice.
Note 1 Public notice means notice on an ACT government website or in a daily newspaper circulating in the ACT (see Legislation Act
, dict, pt 1).
