This legislation has been repealed.
Where a public health officer takes a sample of food under this part with the intention that it be submitted for analysis, he or she shall, before or as soon as practicable after taking the sample, inform—
(a) the owner of the food comprised in the sample; or
(b) if the owner is not present or readily available, the person from whom the sample was taken or the person having charge of the food;
of his or her intention of having the food analysed.
