POLICE ACT 1927 (REPEALED) - SECT 20 20. Any member of the Police Force, and all persons whom she or he calls to her or his assistance, may take into custody, without a warrant, any person who, within view of the member, commits any offence against this Act or against the Police Offences Act 1930, if such person's name and residence is unknown to the member, and cannot be ascertained by her or him.
