PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1989

TABLE OF PROVISIONS

           Long Title

   1.      This Act may be cited as the Public Service Act 1989.1  
   2.      2.1 (1) Section 1 and this  
   3.      In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears—“administrative unit” means an administrative unit into which the Public Service is divided pursuant to paragraph 54 (2) (a) of the Australian Capital Territory (Self-Government) Act 1988 of the Commonwealth; “transitional staff” has the same meaning as in the A.C.T. Self-Government (Consequential Provisions) Act 1988 of the Commonwealth.  
   4.      The Public Service shall be known as the Australian Capital Territory Public Service.  
   5.      Each administrative unit shall comprise such of the transitional staff as the Head of Administration makes available for the purpose.  
   6.      (1) The operations of the Public Service shall be as provided in this section.
