UNIT TITLES ACT 1970 - SECT 72 72. (1) The chairman of a general meeting is not prevented from exercising his or her deliberative vote as a member and, in the case of an equality of votes on an ordinary resolution, whether on a poll or not, is entitled to a second or casting vote.

72. (1) The chairman of a general meeting is not prevented from exercising his or her deliberative vote as a member and, in the case of an equality of votes on an ordinary resolution, whether on a poll or not, is entitled to a second or casting vote.

(2) Where a corporation has only 2 members, in the event of an equality of votes on an ordinary resolution, whether on a poll or not, the chairman is not entitled to a second or casting vote.
