A Bill for an Act to amend the Aboriginal Land Rights
(Northern Territory) Act 1976
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
This Act may be cited as the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern
Territory) Amendment Act (No. 1) 1998.
This Act commences on the 28th day after the day on which it receives the
Royal Assent.
Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or
repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any
other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its
terms.

Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976
1 Subsection 52(3)
Omit “65” (wherever occurring), substitute
“70”.
2 Part 4 of Schedule 1 (after the item relating
to Hodgson Downs)

All that piece of land in the Northern Territory of Australia containing an
area of 283,700 hectares more or less, being Northern Territory Portion 5120 and
being more particularly delineated on Survey Plans S97/172 (A to E) lodged with
the Surveyor-General, Darwin, but excluding two roads 100 metres wide and one
road 50 metres wide as delineated on Survey Plan S97/172E. |
3 Part 4 of Schedule 1 (before the item relating
to Wave Hill Locality)
