The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act is the Broadcasting Legislation Amendment (Television

and Radio Licence Fees) Act 2016.

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table
8
commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
9
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
10
according to its terms.

The amendments made by Part 1 of this Schedule apply to a fee payable

by a licensee after the commencement of this item.

6 Transitional
--licence fee rebate scheme
5
A licensee is not entitled to a rebate under Part 4 of the Television
6
Licence Fees Regulations 1990 for an accounting period (within the
7
meaning of that Part) if the fee for the accounting period is payable after
8
the commencement of this item.
