1 Short title

This Act is the
Criminal Code Amendment (Genocide, Crimes

Against Humanity and War Crimes) Act 2024

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table

commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
9
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
10
according to its terms.

Repeal the sections.

2 Application of amendments

(1)
The repeal of section 268.121 of the
Criminal Code
by this Schedule

applies to proceedings for an offence commenced on or after the

commencement of this Schedule, whether the offence to which the
9
proceedings relate is alleged to have been committed before, on or after
10
that commencement.

(2)
The repeal of section 268.122 of the
Criminal Code
by this Schedule

applies to decisions made before the commencement of this Schedule.
