The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act is the Customs Tariff Amendment Act 2016.

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table
7
commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
8
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
9
according to its terms.

The day this Act receives the Royal Assent.
2. Schedule 1
A single day to be fixed by Proclamation.
However, if the provisions do not commence
within the period of 6 months beginning on
the day this Act receives the Royal Assent,
they commence on the day after the end of
that period.

This table relates only to the provisions of this Act as originally

enacted. It will not be amended to deal with any later amendments of

this Act.

18 Application provision
1
The amendments made by items 1 to 14 apply in relation to:

(a) goods imported into Australia on or after the commencement
3
of this Schedule; and
4
(b) goods imported into Australia before the commencement of
5
this Schedule, where the time for working out the rate of
6
import duty on the goods had not occurred before the
7
commencement of this Schedule.
