This Act may be cited as the Farm Household Support

(Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Act 2014.

1 Transitional application of section 40 of the Farm

Household Support Act 2014

Section 40 of the Farm Household Support Act 2014 applies, after the
5
commencement of this item, as if the reference to an income support
6
payment in paragraph 40(1)(a) of that Act included a reference to:
7
(a) a transitional farm family payment made under the program
8
known as the Transitional Farm Family Payment program;
9
and
10
(b) a payment of interim farm household allowance made under
11
the program known as the Interim Farm Household
12
Allowance program; and
13
(c) a payment of interim income support made under the
14
program known as the Interim Income Support program; and
15
(d) an exceptional circumstances relief payment under the Farm
16
Household Support Act 1992.

2 Transitional rules
18
(1)
The Minister may, by legislative instrument, make rules prescribing
19
matters of a transitional nature (including prescribing any saving or
20
application provisions) relating to:
21
(a) the amendments or repeals made by this Act; or
22
(b) the enactment of this Act or the Farm Household Support Act
23
2014.
24
(2)
Rules made for the purposes of subitem (1) may provide that the
25
following Acts have effect with any modifications prescribed by the
26
rules:
27
(a) the Farm Household Support Act 2014;
28
(b) the Social Security Act;
29
(c) the Social Security Administration Act.
30
(3)
Without limiting subitem (1), the rules may deal with the transition of a
31
person from a payment made under the executive power of the
32
Commonwealth to farm household allowance.
