The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1  Short title

  This Act is the 

Health Insurance Amendment (Compliance

Administration) Act 2020

.

2  Commencement

(1)  Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table

commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with 

9 

column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect 

10 

according to its terms.

(1)  The amendments made by this Schedule apply in relation to an

amount paid before, on or after the commencement of this

Schedule.

(2)  However, the amendments made by this Schedule do not affect

rights or liabilities arising between parties to proceedings: 

13 

 

(a)  in which judgment is reserved by a court on or before the 

14 

commencement of this Schedule; or 

15 

 

(b)  which have been heard and finally determined by a court on 

16 

or before the commencement of this Schedule; 

17 

to the extent those rights or liabilities arose from, or were affected 

18 

by, the application of section 129AC or 129ACA, as in force 

19 

before the commencement of this Schedule.
