1 Short title

This Act is the

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table

commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
9
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
10
according to its terms.

Insert:

3GC Use of computer programs to manage Register of Approved
6
Placements

(1) The Chief Executive Medicare may arrange for the use, under the
8
Chief Executive Medicare's control, of computer programs for
9
taking actions required by section 3GA or 3GB.
10
(2) An action taken by the operation of a computer program under
11
such an arrangement is taken to be an action by the Chief
12
Executive Medicare.
13
(3) The Chief Executive Medicare may substitute an action for an
14
action the Chief Executive Medicare is taken to have made under
15
subsection (2) if the Chief Executive Medicare is satisfied that the
16
action taken by the operation of the computer program is incorrect.
